CAIRO, EGYPT, Sunday, Oct. 18: According to official statistics released by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) following the General Assembly elections in Astana, Kazakhstan on October 7, 2009, the Egyptian Tourism Federation received the highest support, with 107 organizations voting in its favour.
Representing the ETF as Vice Chairman on the board, Director General Ayman Altaranissi says he was delighted at the results, and is confident that the ETF will continue its endeavors since joining the UNWTO, to appropriately represent the Middle East and Africa and help steer necessary developments to appropriately evolve world tourism.
