Cairo, Egypt, February 25, 2009: A complete study on tourism trends to determine holidaymaker choice of destinations during the global economic crisis was recently presented to the ETF board of directors. The study will be based on a focus group of one hundred thousand European tourists from twelve Western and Eastern European countries. The results of this study will be reviewed, discussed and executed through the coordination between the Ministry and the tourism sector.
The board approved this study and has invited Mr. Eulogio Bordas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UNWTO Affiliate Members, to deliver a lecture to industry professionals in Egypt regarding ways to progress within the economic crises and address the study findings.
